Interview with La Papillon Spa - Part I

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Madeleine Homes, owner of La Papillon Spa.  I asked her all sorts of things about her spa, which she describes as a skin care clinic amongst other things.  The services she provides include facials, waxing, make-up artistry, massage, reiki, and ear-candling.  A great thing about her adorable spa is that you can rent it out!

Perfect for bachelorette parties (imagine getting together with your girls and privately getting pampered!), they can accommodate up to 12 people comfortably.  La Papillon is also a great place to get ready on your special day.  They've had brides bring in their own hair professionals and have make-up artists on hand to help everyone look their best.

Homes once worked in huge spa and wants La Papillon to be the antithesis of that "factory feel," explaining that clients often become friends.  She says La Papillon is "unpretentiously upscale" and offers lines that you just don't see most places.  One of the unique lines they carry include Paul & Joe cosmetics.  The details on the packaging alone will make you want to gloss your lips!  They also carry Kate Sommerville's skin care line.  I tried the ExfoliKate from that line and now must go back and buy it.  Amazing stuff!

My next post will be more about this luxurious spa and some advice from Madeleine Homes for brides.  Until then, be sure to take a look at her blog, Peace.  Love.  Lipgloss.
